Re: Battery drain since upgrade

[ Edited ]

You need to restart the Playbook and connect to the wifi router and delete the email accounts and add them back as Troy suggested. I had to do the same a few months back to correct excessive battery drain.

Re: Battery drain since upgrade

Mine with all WIFI, Bluetooth and bridge, and leaving Blaq, in the front to keep the screen ON (by accident that last one), it lasted over 10hrs

Using the Playbook and the Z10 and the Z30 and loving them

@Troy..

Maybe repeatedly looking for the accounts in the background is causing the drain?
..

Precisely.  It has happened before. It is a good idea to delete the accounts before upgrading OS, then add them back. Nothing is lost.

Follow JSaunders' advice on this one.

Re: Battery drain since upgrade

Am stuck without wifi access until next week as I don't want to meddle with the router where I am for the holidays. If I need wifi to delete the accounts, it will have to wait and will factor battery drain Ito short-term reality.

One of the accounts is gmail - apparently they've already ditched calendar sync from their MS active exchange and will ditch MS EAS completely by month's end - am assuming this means I'll need to import gmail calendar separately as caldav when I reinstall the account..?

And what were you doing in that three hour period?
