Behaviour of latest Playbook BB software (OS 2.1.0.1088) and Smartphone 9800(6.0 Bundle 2647) BB Ver v2.1.0.32

Since I have upgraded both the Playbook and my 9800 with the latest OS and version of BB I have started to experience some problems with connecting from the Playbook to the 9800. It manifests itself as hanging when trying to connect the tablet to the phone. I can clear it (usually) by stopping and starting Bluetooth on the 9800.

 

Has anyone else seen this?

  • ON the 9800, delete the Bridge app from Options > Device > Application Management.
  • Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Then, download and again install the Bridge app from AppWorld.

 

  • On the PlayBook, delete the current pairing with the 9800,
  • Restart the PlayBook by touching the battery icon at the upper right > Restart.
  • once the 9800 is rebooted per above, re-pair and try again.

The problem still seems to be there unfortunately. I have to switch bluetooth off and on to re-establish the bb connection...
