I bought my new BlackBerry PlayBook 64 GB in the month of January 2013 through amazon.com and my friend who stays in US has purchased the tab on behalf of me and I stay in India (it was shipped to me). Recently, 15 days back I got a problem with the power button of the tab and the screen is not showing up. Hence, I visited the nearest Redington Service (authorized service agents in India).
Despite of my tab possessing a proper Serial Number, they ask for a proof of purchase with a S/n to be mentioned in that document. I told them that I've bought it over amazon.com and hence I don't have a VAT Invoice, they rejected my plea and didn't consider my tab for repairing.
My tab is still under warranty. Can anyone help me out in how to proceed about this issue and get my tab repaired.
