Blackberry Playbook Backlight

I have had a Blackberry Playbook for just over a year now, however recently the backlight will not operate when i switch it on.

When i press the rear of the tablet the backlight comes on?

Has anyone experienced this problem is there a simple fix/

I'm experiencing this same problem, i'm trying to update my OS right now to see if that works.

I have updated the OS and it is still not working?

Not sure why pushing the back of the tablet allows the light to come on?

yep, you're right. it didn't work...it was wishful thinking.

Mine lights up only if i put a lot of pressure on the back of the tablet, so any help with this problem will be very appreciated.
