Blackberry Playbook Heating Up?

Hello, I recently purchased a BB Playbook from Best Buy. Since the purchase, I noticed that the back side of the Playbook begins to heat up. Is this normal? It usually heats up near the bottom back in the horizontal position of the Playbook. I still have time to exchange this product (if needed).

the batteries and CPU will get warm with use, my sons gets hot when playing 3d games but not hot enough to burn him
