Today I tried another interesting thing:

I have 3 mail accounts on my 9900 and today I used the bridge options to temporarily deativate 2 of them to have just one left in the hope to find the mail account with the "bad html code". The result was that with each single one of them the mail app flickers what does not speak for the "bad mail" theory from my point of view.

Good trouble shooting. It definitely sounds like it is not html email related. There is an update for the playbook to version 2.0.1.358 that came out yesterday.  One of the changes was "stability improvement for blackberry bridge"

 

Have you installed this update?  I wonde. If they actually fixed your problem?

Today I installed 7.1 on my 9900 and it didn't help either...lovely.....:Helpsmilie:

Earlier, in parallel, i set the option to keep messages on the BB to a very low amount of days.... And all I had to to was wait...:Cool2:

Today the waiting was over since the messages app now works again. This is obviously proof that a "defectice" email causes it.:Rockon:

Jeehaaaaw... Again! Now i knew which mail worked well as the last one. Deleted all mails i got afterwards and it still flickers. Awesome.....

The only thing that will solve your dilemma is a security wipe. Back up frat.

Explain to me one thing, my problem started a few weeks after the OS2 update in February, since then when I tried to update my phone(Bold 9900) it got completely wiped and could not restore the backup since the backup that I had was existing was from an older OS version and could not be restored, then a few weeks ago the Playbook was force to re-install OS 2.0.1.358, which resotred it to factory settings again the backup could not be restored, since both device were basically wiped a of everything and nothing from before could be restored, how come when I tried both time as soon as the device were back in function (say hours on each), the first time that I tired to open the Birdge E-Mail Program I was back into a loop continiously asking for the Bridge Password and it refuse to do anything else. so it can not be from a defective e-mail message since there is no message that were carried over from either wipes

And why did it disappear the last time without a wipe?

Folks,

 

After a tough time with the defective bridge mail app happening again and again, the latest OS update seems to have my pain healed. Keep your fingers crossed for me if you like - I personally feel like in heaven (for) now :Clap:
