Once again the software for Mac seems to be pretty useless; I cannot perform a back-up of my Playbook - see error message: 'an error occured while backing up your tablet'. This has happened twice now; does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you - but this is exactly what I was doing; I clicked to back up 'All data'; it seemed to be doing something for quite a while, & told me not to do anything on the Playbook while it was backing up, then at the end I got that message saying there was a problem, & it was unable to back up.

I found this article:
http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/del
Try this workaround:
Workaround: Change the permissions on the destination folder orwrite the backup file to a folder which does not have read-only permissions.
I also saw some info that points to the same issue:

Mine seems to have finally worked, after 6 attempts....

No; I just kept clicking on 'full back-up'. Maybe the software is just temperamental.

Still no success. I have downloaded the latest DM available on the RIM Web Site.
