Could not activate this tablet (132353)

I just got my tablet back from repair and when I try to start it I am stuck at the Software Update screen and I get the above message with a restart button, I tried it many time, I also used the power button for 20 seconds and still get the same thing

I'd nuke from orbit (from Desktop Software Manager) and reinstall the OS from scratch. That way you have control over the BB ID part at the end of the process.

Re: Could not activate this tablet (132353)

This is what I am trying right now, I think it is maybe because I tried to use the same BBID as the other one

Now how do I add a new BBID to the system

Martin,

Is your PB under any warranty? Because what I'm about to share with you in this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-playbook-f222/fix-could-not-activate-tablet-132353-a-713146/

requires it.

Someone also mentions no Wi-Fi singnal can cause this, but I doubt that's your case: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Error-quot-Could-not-activate-this-tablet...

Well I do not use any thing that comes from the crackberry.com community, it all hackers as the name points

And no the Playbook is not under warranty because it was bought on the release day, it just came back from repair because I dropped it and the screen got cracked on the inside

Re: Could not activate this tablet (132353)

Well you really should read that thread as it's the solution you seek. You have to call RIM and get them to activate it. Read the thread...

Well I am talking with RIM and they can not find any thing on this error, and they are keeping me on the phone while they are talking with the repair department to find out why this is happening

Re: Could not activate this tablet (132353)

Ok, well, good luck then. Google has a lot of people with the same problem but that guy got his activated by having RIM unblock the PIN.

Re: Could not activate this tablet (132353)

Well right now RIM themself do not know what this error is or could be, and they have no idea what is the cause of it
