Cut and Paste - inter-application...

I am wondering if inter-application Cut and Paste is possible? Or am I being remedial? Because I seem to be able to Cut and Paste within an application, but not between applications.

Is it just that I am missing something, or does this functionality not yet exist?

Re: Cut and Paste - inter-application...

I have run into the same issue and it is driving me nutz.  I have not been able to cut/copy from one application and then paste into another.  This has to be an oversight in the development of the OS?

I just can't believed we will not get the same functions or interface as we have today with the Torch. Cut & Paste must be a basic functions for every new devices.

Re: Cut and Paste - inter-application...

I can copy paste from GMail to any other app.
But I think you are referring to the Bridge Mail application, in which case I am not an expert but this is consistent with the future BlackBerry Balance that will appear in OS7 for smartphones. You have one device, and two sets of applications : the corporate ones and the personal ones. And copy/paste from one set to the other will be forbidden.

Which makes the Playbook useless - for a "Professional " table.

Re: Cut and Paste - inter-application...

I fully agree.

I am often surfing the web for new contents. Then found an interesting site or page and want to email me the link or part of the content by doing a simple copy & paste. And it does not work :-(

This has to be fixed.....

Re: Cut and Paste - inter-application...

you can copy paste. Go to a website and press the text for a few second, then you can select the text you want and choose copy. Go to word and press the screen again and choose paste. In the same way you can copy paste links in website and choose to open them in a new tab.
