I have yet to see any discussion on this point so hope that this is a useful topic. I'm aware that battery technology, including Lithium has a number of limitations. Overcharging should be a thing of the past but I can't shake a concern that overuse of the desktop charger could ultimately limit battery life.
The question is, are there any negative consequences to leaving a rarely used playbook on its desktop charger on an ongoing basis? Could the Playbook be used as an electronic photo display and if so how to I stop it dropping into screen save?
Thanks for reading

No issue with leaving it charged all the time, I leave mine on a rapid charger or OEM charger everynight since April 2011.
use of the app white noise will keep screen on

Thanks for offering advice. I imagine your use is similar to mine and that your Playbook experiences a partial charge/discharge cycle most days. However, my wife rarely users hers and it can remain on the charger for a week - ready for a videochat (at least that's my hope). Does that alter your conviction?
