I used my daughter's BB to tether. The GPS app used up 20 out of her 50 MB of monthly data entitlement in just one data session. So even though this works technically it does not work financially.
What I would ideally like to see is the ability for an application to download and cache map data (street view would suffice) for a defined area and then just use the direct-to-GPS link to plot current location. This would not then not use internet tethering.
Am I making sense ? Anybody know of such an app ?
