Hello,
I'm using the messages-application in order to access my email using the IMAP-protocol.
It looks like the folders inbox, sent-messages and trash can be seen but my custom created sub-folders are completely missing.
At the time being the playbook lacks the option to access imap sub-folders.
This is horrible and should be fixed asap.
Is there an ETA for the bugfix available?

Hello gstammw,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.
Accessing subfolders that utilize IMAP within the native Messages application in the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet is currently unsupported. The following article will provide you with more information:
Subfolders are not displayed in the Playbook mail application - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB30231
While this feature is not supported, we appreciate your feedback and will share this comment with the product team.
Thank you.

Hello FozziBear,
thanks for your reply.
I understand that your email application is more or less broken at the moment and that one can not use imap-subfolders.
Can you please confirm that you are going to fix this, please?
Thank you very much.

I'm now running the Beta of OS2.1 too and yes, the email client does support imap-folders now.
Still the experience is HORRIBLE: I can't subscribe/unsubscribe imap-folders as I wish. The mail app is trying to download/sync *all* Imap folders which won't work as I'm storing more than 10.000 messages in subfolders that are three levels deep.
What makes me really crazy is that all folders that contain messages will be shown in the "combined inbox" which means that my subfolders for spam, mailinglists and so on are all shown in the inbox :-(
Please update this app so that it will work like any normal mail app.
Right now I'm using K9MAIL for android that I have sideloaded to my Playbook but this just an interim solution until RIM fixes the maill app.
There is some time left till 2.1final, please use it well...
