I'm doing just about anything. The system constantly interrupts, asking me to sign in. I've never been connected via USB. I'm going to wipe it. Thanks very much.

And get this: I can't back it up!!!  Did everything right, and get an error message telling me to connect it or turn it on. Incredibly stupid message, and no easy way to solve it.
