Video chat says "Another application is using the camera. Please close the other application and try again"
Camera app works with rear facing but front facing is just a black screen and says "Camera error 4003 picture" when trying to take a picture.
I know the video chat was working before the update, but I can't say for sure on the camera because I don't take many front facing camera pictures.
So far I have tried rebooting / a hard reset by holding power and volume / and I have reinstalled the OS through desktop manager by plugging in the tablet while off and telling it to update.
It has to be software related because I used the camera hours before I updated and it was working then.

I get the following message when trying to get support
Unfortunately, your BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet does not qualify for Complimentary Support. You can, however get assistance using incident based support from Research In Motion.
Does this mean RIM will not fix my Playbook after the software update broke my front facing camera?

I've got the same problem with video chat on one of my playbooks. Another playbook is working just fine with video chat.
Have you resolved this issue? Have you tried security wipe?

These same problems have afflicted my 64GB model ever since those updates. Similar restore, etc. efforts have not worked, but have consumed valuable time.
It would be wise for BB to issue a functional rollback while they resolve the cause of the videocam problems, and to keep the PB's reputation elevated.
