For those that are left in the cold without AppWorld or by AT&T (and possibly others), here are OTA links for the latest BlackBerry Bridge that enables BBM on the PlayBook:

BlackBerry Bridge 1.0.0.83 OTA for OS 5

BlackBerry Bridge 1.0.0.83 OTA for OS 6

These downloads are for your phone, not for the PlayBook.

NOTE: To get BBMessenger on the PlayBook, you need to apply both the Bridge update (1.0.0.83) and the BBM update (5.0.3.22) on the phone.

Is your Curve 8900 w/ AT&T? ... I'm able to install Bridge on mine but it only shows up in Settings - Options - Applications; I can't find it anywhere on the device to open it.

Fabregas, look in your Downloads folder on the 8900, and if not there, check the Applications folder also.

If still nothing, do a reboot of the 8900, while powered ON, remove the battery a minute and replace and after rebooted, check all those folders and homescreen again.

Thanks JSanders. Yes, I've looked both in Downloads and Applications and everywhere else on the device including Home screen but it's not there. Also tried the "Show all" option in case the app was hidden... still nothing.

I've also done multiple soft and hard resets since yesterday to no avail... have deleted and re-installed Bridge a couple of times during this process. Also tried editing the app's permissions to elevate it to full access but that didn't help either.

Going to try installing again but I'm stumped!
