Can anyone suggest how I can move video clips to my computer from the playbook which will not sync now that I have update the lastest software. They are too big to send in an email. When I tried to upload them to a youtube account, the file was rejected because the name looked like VD 000164.mp4. In edit mode in the video file I have the vast array of editting options: delete or cancel. I cannot change the name as it is uploading.. Any way to salvage this as a video camera?

You will need to connect to your pc using either USB or map your playbook to pc. After playbook shows up as just another external drive, then just drag and drop files onto pc. As for renaming any files, not just video you'll need to load and app like files and folders in order to rename.
Also try different video settings to reduce size of video files. If you record at 1080p the filesare definitely too large for email or upload to most sites.

Try using the USB cable, that I think will help you transfer the videos unto the computer without sync.

Thanks hutch0707, that sounds very logical.I gave it a try, and once the BBPB was connected it did not show up as an external drive in 'computer'. I went around the Network and Sharing Centre, tried to create a bridge, and check the properties of the local network the playbook create but deadend there too. Is there sonewhere I am not thinking of that I would see the playbook as an external drive besides the computer window?
You other advice about renaming videos, do you think I can reduce the visdeo size befofre it comes off the Playbook? I cannot find anywhere I can alter settings.
Thanks again

Hi Terran4u
I used the USB cable and though the Blackberry software opens up, it thinks there is no data on the playbook and it does not appear when I look at the drives in Computer.
The data is still on the playbook, 'sync all ' tells me it is not configured. Thought the configure button does nothing.
Thanks for hte suggestion.

Personally, for this type large file transfer, I use the PlayBook's WiFi Sharing as described in the initial solution in this Knowledge Base article.

Hi J Saunders
Thanks foir the suggestion. I tried that a number of times. I get a message saying it cannot connect contact my service provider. I am on a 5 month trip in Asia staying in a Thai hotel, getting wifi. I cannot get a hold of a service provider or router. Don't if that's the problem but I can't know for sure until I get home.

Yea, I think you left that out of the information.
Where do you get this message?
