How do I reset after lock out?

Hi!! My playbook is set with an email account that I recently closed. I don't remember the password for the playbook either. Is there any way to reset the playbook so I can set up a new email account and password?

When you setup the PlayBook, you were asked to also setup a password recovery question and answer. Go to the white gear, top right and tap it, then select Security. You will see at the bottom of the page that opens, the password recovery item.
For old email accounts, just delete them and then put in the new ones.

I think if you get the PlayBook password wrong enough times, it should wipe.

The white gear, too right of screen. All the settings are there.

The OP stated "I don't remember the password for the playbook either."

This may mean that the PB is now stuck in the lock screen. SP0909, is this the case? If so, have you tried my suggestion earlier?

That is correct, I don't know the password either. I exceeded the number of attempts and it says I have to wait 15 minutes before I can try again. So, we'll see....

After ten incorrect tries, it should do a security wipe.

Just make sure your PB is plugged in charging while it's wiping / restoring.

It doesn't do a wipe. It locks you out for a time period to give you time to reflect.
