I there a better way to position the cursor in a text portion other than trying it several times until the OS picks the right space? I know the iPad has a good way to do it by zooming in.

Or is RIM working on it.....

I've been pretty successful at getting the cursor to hit where I want in text entry boxes.

Maybe some more practice will make perfect. Worked for me, until I got used to,and then again maybe my using a touchscreen smartphone, the process just comes second nature for me.

Honestly, I find this to be lacking in the playbook. I've been using tap for a long time and the playbook, with it's teeny tiny font in email, is almost impossible to place the cursor in the right spot. It's something that the "other" company did right in this case, and RIM doesn't have it yet.

I use a small bluetooth mouse keyboard combo.   I will also zoom in using the gestures

I dont have an issue, but I did play a few tapping games to hone my skills and use a Torch daily.

Unfortunately, you can't zoom in email which is where it is needed most as there is no spell check. I too use keyboard and mouse but that is a work around not a solution. This needs to be addressed by RIM. Either add pinch and zoom or a cursor functionality or, gosh forbid, spell check in email (Actually all 3 are needed, who am i kidding!)
