I will always have more then one playbook logged in with the same BBId so how exactly is the video chat suppose to work in those circumstances?.

Set up a contact in Playbook A' s video chat app for Playbook B using a made up first name last name and Playbook B's PIN only.

Ditto set up contact for  A in B

Do not use the same router or they will not talk to each other.  I have not tested this but it has been posted before.

Re: Video Chat

I tried bridging through my 9900 but I get a message about requiring wifi in order to video chat.  I'll have to find another router.

Re: Video Chat

You can't use Bridge for this.

Re: Video Chat

Jarviser, I haven't seen that setup working, perhaps it will.

I hope they try it from two different locations and report back. It will validate the original post, and also Rat7's post.

I do know that unlike using two BBIDs it does not work on the same router as I have tested that with my two .

Cool, ok.

But verify, ideally, the two Playbooks should be on a different WiFi router (not via  Bridge) and each Playbook on their own BBID, correct?  At least that is the manner in which I have videochatted with contacts... simple as that.

Correctamundo.

The PIN workaround is for people with a big investment in paid for apps who get another playbook and want to use the same apps without paying again. Video chat is probably the only thing affected.

4 days have elapsed;  have you left the other playbook at a friend's house to test it yet?? It's the only way to get two playbooks on same bbid to talk using PINs - or so it is alleged. You can prove it.

Re: Video Chat

I finally got around to testing it. I am hugely disappointed by video chat. I bought two playbooks and it simply is beyond comprehension what the developers were thinking. The idea that I can't video chat between my own playbooks is incomprehensible. this app should not have been installed on playbooks and it should not be advertised.

This was suppose to easier. It must be easier at least make it compatible with Skype. As it stands it is worse then nothing.
