Check your memory, I had the same problem I also was not able to download podcasts. I deleted some videos (freed some space) and everything started to install properly.

The 0008 error is from a app install error where the author did not properly sign the app properly.
Be a Shepard and not an iSheep.

That's not true because I have an app on playbook which is 100% signed correctly and people still report that issue.

I've had someone report the issue with my Android APK converted to a BAR. Is it really a signing issue? How do I rectify this? The APK is signed with my Android marketplace ID

You need to resubmit with tha bar file.

FIX 0008 ERROR IN PLAYBOOK..

 

Go to settings..security<Development mode<Use development mode ON..

This error can also occur if an app with a duplicate name is already installed (e.g. If you have a development BAR file installed on the device). Delete the duplicate and reinstall, that should solve the problem.

I am having a problem installing the app OrganizeMe on my Playbook. It will download, and the install will start. The install continues until apx. 38% finished and then I get the 0008 installation error.

 

I have successfully installed other apps, and have the most recent version of the Playbook OS.

 

The vendor says that there is nothing he can do -- it is a problem with Blackberry World.

 

Any suggestions?
