Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade to 2.0 but I saw a lot of users having problem with Wifi not working.  If this Playbook w/o a Wifi then it just a piece of junk IMO.  Just want to make sure if things go south after upgrading, am I able to return to previous version?

My kids and I have had no problem with WIFI, both at home and at their offices! We have 4 Playbooks and all upgraded flawlessly and work. Everything works well, so far! Knock on wood. Good luck.

Thanks, I'll take your advise and knock on wood but still like to know if there is way going back.  I'm process downloading it now and will upgrade shortly.  Hope someone can answer my question before I upgrade.  I think I still have time to click cancel.

Oh well, I guess I don't need this question answered anymore.  It upgraded fine.  Checked wifi and it works...

Once it done downloading, the cancel button disappear, but I was keeping knock on wood while it upgrading...and that worked!

I had faith that RIM would make the OS2 work on my Playbook and that faith was not misplaced.

They took long enough to get to us, so they did make it work!

You might be able to if you do a full wipe. It worked before the 2.0 anyway, if I did a wipe I got back the os it got delivered with. But I'm not testing it for you I'm happy on 2.0 and it seems to me my wireless works just fine. I locked the wireless channel on my router a while back, that made it rock solid. Have fun.

WiFi works EXCEPT when you go to Free WiFi's offered by restaurants and coffee shops such as McDonalds,  Starbucks..... These coffee shops bring up a page  on your screen and you need to click on 'accept' terms and conditions before use. That page cannot load in OS2 and so you cannot use any free wifi ( at home is ok because no one asks you to click anything) . When the page tries to load, i see "Invalid JAD content null" on my screen which tells me the browser cannot load the .jad file ( the screen that asks me to click accept...). So cannot use any Free Wifi at McDonalds or Starbucks or Tullys coffee...etc..etc
