I used to be able to access my kindle cloud and read my books, but now it's saying that my browser is not compatible...my os is 2.1.0.1088....when I tried to download a different browser it wouldn't let me....can anyone help?? Also, does anyone know what the name of the browser is thats on the PlayBook? Thanks......Kim  

 Also...I can't sidebar or whatever it's called because my desktop is so old, when I plug in my bbpb, it won't recognize it.

ok good deal.  I wish the process was simpler.  App world should be the only source for installing apps vs doing all this techy sideload stuff.  I like to put myself in the shoes of the average consumer who will never sideload for whatever reason.  Just because I know how to sideload doesn't mean the majority of people will do the same thing.

Maybe someone from RIM will read this.  I think this will be addressed in bb10 though.

Sideloading is not hard once you've done it a time or two. It really enhances the playbook experience by being able to have all the apps everyone else has.

I highly recommend updating your Desktop so that you can make a backup of your Playbook. While you may not need/want to sideload any applications you really should backup the device.
