Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

Put in the new battery. the led is green pb wont completely come on. it is on in dark. stays on even off the charger. just a light with half the screen lighter on one side. cant read anything. think it needs a new screen or mother board. ready to sell it .

Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

I was just wondering why the PlayBook gets hot while charging when it is off. Even when it is fully charged in the off position while connected to power, it feels hot like it never stops charging. When the tablet is on tho, it doesn't get hot and stops charging when it is done. I think I will just charge when PlayBook is on, that way it doesn't do that weird screen thing also when you charge displaying weird patterns on the screen that take awhile to go away after you turn on PlayBook

Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

I Never Charged In Fully Off, but when you charge it it's normal to get hot. When You Use It, it use some part of charger to work so it's charged with less energy. That's Why You Fell It Colder. Batteries Don't Like Heat, I recommend USB but it's very slow. Also Between 800-100 percent is also hotter so I charge it to around 80 and before 40-30%.

Hi guys, i'm a new owner of a PB 64gb, i wonder if it's normal that charging when it's off appear several vertical coloured lines on the screen.

Thanks.

Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

That happens to mine also. I have the 16 GB model. It looks horrible and sometimes when you turn it on it stays for awhile and then goes away. It sounds normal since yours does it too. But its bulls**t
