Messages not working

I have not been able to open my messages for the past week. I keep getting an error code that reads," This application was interrupted. Please close and open again to continue. (30000)".

 

I have shutdown, re-opened, let my battery die out, recharged and restart and I keep getting the same message. I have been searching to reinstall the "messages app" but can't find it. I am at a loss as to what to do next.

I deleted all my acocunts and reloaded and issue resolved.
