any movie format not recognised needs to be converted to a movie format the PB will recognise such as mp4 (H264)
You need to use Video convertersoftware such as OJOSoft if the movies are to big for the on-line converters.

One ?, some days ago i uploaded to my playbook 4 video files, They are all .avi and i could play them all. and all of them are about 700 mb of size.
Yesterday i got an hdmi cable and connected to my Ledtv, after that i always get that my videos are not supported.
So i got me an converter and even if i choosed blackberry as you can see on the screenshot, it still says file not supported. both connected or not connected to tv. Why is that ?.
Here is a link to the screenshot.

A lot of freeware is availble to allow you to stream or access all your information from another computer ( Remote Desktop - Server Client ) or you can try finding a hosting site that allows you to call on it as you need it. ( Cloud + Media, Social )
I suggest trying a few to have multiple ways to a file but I also recommend having a hard copy of anything important to prepare yourself in the event of a hack or a company whose storage system fails, they close without warning, etc.

If you have a video file that doesnt play in the native playbook application, try downloading 'WatchMore' i think it costs $1, but i use it all the time, it converts movies on the fly so you can watch as it converts or have it save the converted file. I have used it on flv files of up to 7.5gb... the audio and video quality is quite amazing and i am so glad i never have to use my PC for converting again haha.
