Re: My playbook wont turn on

I know you've said you've done this, but be patient and keep trying...

LEAVE it connected to the wall outlet charger (not the USB > PC charger).
Leave it connected for 24 hours... every 3-5 hours, press and hold the power button only for about 20 seconds. Eventually it will boot on up, but first must reach a certain charge level.
You will see the blinking red and perhaps yellowish LED light, and perhaps a symbol on screen of "no battery". That means the battery is drained, but it must reach a certain charge before powering on.

Re: My playbook wont turn on

I have the exact same problem.  I've had mine charging for two days.  There are no lights, nothing at all.  I was holding the button down for 5 seconds every few hours or so, now I'll go to 20 seconds.

is this really the way to charge this thing back up?

Most other people that have this problem seem to have a red light that blinks.... I have nothing at all.

'LEAVE it connected to the wall outlet charger (not the USB > PC charger).'

What about USB 3.0?  It is still better to try this via the BB wall outlet charger? I just have the regular charger.  This problem with it not turning on is beating me down.  Reading so much and trying so much and still get the solid red light  for 5 to 20 secs when plugging in the charger.

Re: My playbook wont turn on

Again, you should use the OEM wall outlet charger. If you have access to the magnetic rapid charger that would work also.

Re: My playbook wont turn on

My situation is that finally after being connected for about 3 weeks to the magnetic fast charge and trying the stack charge technique, etc, etc - then I called Blackberry and then sent it in for repair.  I got a refurbished one set out rather quickly.  It just would never charge at all.  I never got a glimpse of any light, nothing.

I tried my best to keep the original one, but the refurb is working fine for me.

Re: My playbook wont turn on

Tried Rapid magnetic charger and wall charger

the button trick over and over while charging

at no time has there been power lights at all

what should I try now, I have seen youtube videos of people

charging the one battery direct using a lipo charger and clips to the contacts

Will that really work

Re: My playbook wont turn on

Right after I posted this hit the regular charger again and for the first time I got a battery picture and yellow lights.  It was all over from there. Will be on guard on this thing from now on draining to low.
