I glanced over the new user guide, but could not find anything about an "android player"! Can you point me to the page?

I had problems with connecting to my wi-fi after my first attempt to upgrade the OS. Then I called up Blackberry support, and the nice fella walked me through backing up the data, performing a security wipe, and then re-doing the upgrade. After that, everything seems to be fine. (Yes, I did notice the boot up time is rather long, but it is something I can bear with.)

Perhaps you could explain what you're speaking of?

Sorry, one word fell of. My meaning was that the PDF and this thread SHOULD be in the document folder for reading after the update is complate.

If you click on a lnk to get a pdf it will go into your downloads folder. If you want it somewhere else you need to install an app like AIR Browser and move it to documents. It's how it works.  Downloaded stuff eventually gets lost without a third party file manager app.

 Manual for 2.1 is out now - Google it.  This thread is out of date.
