Netflix for PlayBook

My wife and I are proud new owners of a pair of blackberry PlayBooks.

We are searching for a PlayBook native netflix application, however none seem to be available.

Please log this as interest in blackberry developing a native application for the blackberry PlayBook.

Thanks,

James

Re: Netflix for PlayBook

There will never be a Netflix app on Playbook or any RIM product. RIM is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Return your playbooks now and get something that supports Netflix ...plenty of other options.

Hi Mike,
I logged this for support, not criticism :smileywink:
I love the PlayBook, I think we will keep 'em.
Thanks,

Re: Netflix for PlayBook

Hi Wolf,

I appreciate the link, I have looked at some of the options such as Flix and Playon.

I am hoping for a native application where I can use it via the PlayBook wifi, Bridge, or LTE.

I wont always be near my wifi or PC.

Thanks,

James

Re: Netflix for PlayBook

My wife has an ?pad and my son-in-law has a ?droid. I have used them both extensively and the PlayBook OS is far superior. Having an Netflix app is not a consideration for me in choosing a superior OS. The Playbook is a real work horse. How many movies are you going to watch on a tab. That said I believe we will have Netflix app after the next major OS release.

Dream on buddy THERe WILL NEVER BE A NETFLIX app on PB. RIM doesn't make any money from it that's why they created  the Movie Store App ...they get a cut of the sales.

THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE A NETFLIX APP give it up already!

RIM is so stupid for not having one ...a micro HDMI hooks your tablet to any TV did you even notice?

Re: Netflix for PlayBook

I think Netflix is in charge of this. All of the tools are available to allow Netflix Developer / Engineers to

1) Develop a native Netflix Application

2) Port their existing Android app to Playbook using the repackaging tool
    https://developer.blackberry.com/android/

They can get their app on Playbook in less than a day if they chose to.

Great Purchase By The Way

The Playbook is a multimedia powerhouse. Not only do you get to experience the FULL web, including every site which has flash videos (a ton of them), but you have the fastest mobile web browser on any mobile platform.

You can also import any videos directly to your BlackBerry Playbook and enjoy the videos anywhere. Connect your Playbook using hdmi and video your videos on any tv.

Cheers to awesome

Re: Netflix for PlayBook

You're a moron! Bankrupt? That's information that is purley **bleep**. If that were the case we'd know it on the street. And as for an app, you probably know as much about that as you do RIM's 10q. Nothing.
