I was able to install all of the appropriate updates and BBM Is working from the PB. My only gripe is the fact that the emote-icons show up as "old school" and not the Gif icons like on a BB. Otherwise, it's a big step in the right direction.

Hi dperlberg,
Try the following:
Turn off bluetooth on both devices so that they stop communicating.
Turn off your Playbook.
Clear your phone's cache by turning off the phone and then removing the battery. After about 30 seconds, insert the battery back in your phone and wait for your phone to turn on.
Turn on your Playbook.
Once your phone and your Playbook are both on, turn on bluetooth on both devices and then start BlackBerry Bridge on your phone, they should both be paired and hopefully the BlackBerry Messenger icon will be pushed to your Playbook.
I hope this resolves your issue.
By the way, I'm running Blackberry Bridge 1.0.0.83, BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.3.22, on a Bold 9700 running OS 6 and AT&T is my Carrier.

@Icu_2: Thanks for the detailed instructions. Still not working for me with the BBM-Error code: 13. I guess i may have to start to wipe devices at this point.
