Disastrous update - none of my URLs play audio - many won't even load.
I bought this thing to connect to the internet - it barely does that.

I just tested both of those sites, and both play audio fine for me. And thanks for the site suggestions, never tried either before.
Same OS release.

Thanks for the suggestions but no dice.
It says the WiFi is Hi strength - I put popups to ON and both load so far but will not connect the audio.
Tried having it right next door to the router and also have it next to my laptop which has no problem so network does not seem to be the issue.
Also tried c103.com and also 899halfm.com (Media Error on that one)
I just tried to get on the Blackberry site and it loads very slowly and even just stops halway through a page.
There is something just inherently bad about either the download of the latest s/ware rev or the installation.
Is it possible to try the OS download again?
It just decided I need to login to Facebook but quit halfway!!

899halfm.com is using media format not supported by playbook. IF they worked before the update then it's possible it was the update lost a codec.
Complaints to blackberry.

Both work on three PlayBooks I've tested.
Perhaps you haven't fully followed my suggestions.
Or, perhaps you should reboot your router and try again. Could be the router is acting wonky for your PB, regardless of what your laptop if doing.

Second one 899halfm gave media error for me too or I would not have contributed. First one c103 worked fine.
Ottawa.ca crashes the browser which gets more fragile with every release in my opinion. Browsers should not close whatever is in the web page.

I haven't tried those, only the first two he listed in the initial post.
If he can't even load the Blackberry.com website, he's got other browser or router issues which need to be resolved.
Rebooting the router should help.

OK - after a ton of trial & error I have my PB playing my classic rock and listening to CBC - I have a wi-fi booster as my floors are thick tiles and my DSL and router are in the basement and my laptops get better connection with it. The PB after this update does not like the wi-fi booster - I take it out and it works.
Guess I'll see how my laptops perform.
I still do not see why this is. The wi-fi signal with the booster on was super strength - without it it's OK right now but not nearly as strong. Maybe the PB is sensitive and it was getting both signals - they must have made a change to the wi-fi in the latest update??
It was showing 2 network but was connected to 1.
Thx for the suggestions however it does show that with my issues and the ottawa.ca issue the PB browser is a bit flakey.

Make sure encryption is set to WPA personal/PSK (for 802.11g) or WPA2 personal/PSK (802.11g or n) and type AES. Avoid TKIP and WEP. If you can manage with 802.11g use it in preference to n.
