Have had some issues since this new update.
1 When shutting down playbook, after power off sometimes the screen backlight stays on and if you don't notice will kill the battery. if you do catch it, you have to press the power button and both volume buttons to get playbook to power back up and try a power off again.
2 Playbook takes longer to power on than before update.
3 Playbook does not remember home network login anymore. Have to input SSID every time I come home.
Has anyone else had these issues or knows of a fix?
Thanks,
Walter

Good for you.
I have not noticed any issues by the way.

Like most folks, you see the update icon and just assume and trust that the updates are there to enhance your tablet and that they have been thoroughly tested. Guess sometimes it doesn't work like that. Just hope that they come up with an update to fix the issues with this update.

I have not experienced these problems with my own PlayBook. My PlayBook does power off and the backlight stays on even after it appears that the PlayBook has been shut down but only for a minute or so and then the backlight turns off. I have seen another report this of this problem in another forum but it was solved with a "reset".
The only time I had a problem with the PlayBook saving WiFi information was with the 2.0 OS release. I found it so frustrating I sought out the 2.1 OS Beta which seemed to solve the problem.
I have not experienced any of the other problems outlined by the OP.

Have done a security wipe and restored playbook. Was not able to roll back OS to a previous version so am back with 2.1.0.1526. security wipe seems to have done the trick as all is functioning well now.
