It's pretty widely known that Netflix will on BB10 (and then the PlayBook) in the coming months, no date certain, but we'll see. I've not been confident either until this past week when it was stated that Netflix was coming.

And that's why I switched to an iPad. The playbook isn't a priority for blackberry any more. They've been working on there new OS for their new phone. Take my advice and get a different tablet.
The reason playbooks have sold like hot cakes and are hard to find, and with one UK major distributor actually outsold ipad minis over the winter period, is that for just over a hundred quid you get something that will soon run BB10 that will knock the ipad mini into a three cornered hat. Anyone with any foresight is buying not selling playbooks.

How come, then, there are new articles stating that there are no immediate plans to support Netflix on BB10?

Well if when the Z10 and Q10 start gaining traction in the US following the launch there, Netflix will be hard pressed to ignore a rapidly growing market segment. That will mean something will be developed to operate on the BB10 OS and then once the PlayBook gets BB10, Netflix may yet come to the PlayBook. ![]()
