My playbook is stuck telling me i have an un read text message  ive cleared all of the texts from my phone and from the pb a d the indicator remains  the phone is in not indicating a new text  how do i fix this?

Hey, welcome the forums.

First, try a restart on the PlayBook.. touch the upper right battery icon > Restart.

Afterwards, is the icon gone?

If not, you can consider turning off the BlackBerry Bridge connection to your BlackBerry and then turn it back on.

Found it!!!!!!  I searched in the messages for an unread sms. I found an old message that had been replied to but did did not mark itself as read. I could not get it to clear so I deleted it.

So the PlayBook was correct again.

Oh yes. The PB was right. But the phone did not indicate a new message. And the "new" message was inside of a conversation of messages and had been replied to. I've been known to accidentally save unread messages and then have this problem on my phone. But checking saved messages, I found nothing. I used the search option on the phone, inside the message app for unread sms and founf the bothersome entry.
