Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

check apps permitions on the adobe. the path is options>security>applications permitions> select adobe reader

edit to allow app to access files stored on playbook, dont forget to save

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

I have the same problem.

The features of the pdf reader are really poor. If we have the problem with crashes reading bigger files in addition, the worth of the Playbook is no longer given.

I waited for the Playbook and bought no IPAD until now. May be this was a mistake!

I hope Blackberry will solve the problem immediately!

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

Same problem here-after viewing 5-6 pages of a pdf the reader crashes.....

It makes me real angry and has nothing to do with professional quality!!!!!

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

This seems to happen, as someone else mentioned around here, to pdf files that were created with the 'print to pdf' option, and not through the conversion of a file to pdf on Adobe Acrobat.

Let's wait and see if there's an update that fixes that...

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

this is very frustrating and i hope they are working on fixing this fast. this started happening since the last upgrade. prior to that i had been viewing numerous pdf's (large and small) on the playbook and via the bridge with no problems. Now all files, large and small, playbook and bridge crash randomly rendering the playbook useless......... please fix this!!!!!!!

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

I really feel like I'm being used as a beta tester by RIM, and this is actually the second time it happens after my ordeal with the the Storm! This is not the way customers should be treated and I am sure that many others feel the same way ...

Re: PDF Crashes reading the newspaper on Playbook

tech support said no solution until operating system is upgraded

they said this resolves the incident from their view (totally unacceptable)

they should never have launched the playbook until it was working
