Re: PLAYBOOK WIFI ISSUES

Touch the battery icon > Restart.

Now, look for OPEN and NON-password wifi hotspots to which to connect.

Re: PLAYBOOK WIFI ISSUES

You won't need the receipt. Call Playbook warranty support.

Re: PLAYBOOK WIFI ISSUES

Hi

Can this wifi issue be device specific? I have a 16gb which works fine (mostly) and bought a 64gb one for more storage. However when you look at the wifi logs the signal level is about 30dbm lower on the 64gb device.  By that I mean that the 16gb device is -37dbm and the 64gb device would be at -67dbm in the same location.

Does anybody else see this?

Graham.

My Carrier: WiFi only (well, I do have a cheap Nokia with 7/11 SpeakOut)

The WiFi only PlayBooks are all the same except for the amount of on board memory.  Signal strength should be the same for all devices.  Sometimes there is a hardware problem which could affect signal strength.  That can be fixed with a call to BB warranty support.
