PLAYBOOK WILL NOT ALLOW CONNECTION TO BRIDGE

Hello to you all,

Just purchased a Playbook and powered it up ... it went directly to a wi-fi set up screen and it detected my husband's wi-fi, which I don,t want to connect with.

I want to use my Blackberry cell phone to connect with Blackberry Bridge.

Can anyone please tell me how to get out of the wi-fi screen to get to the Home page so that I can install Blackberry Bridge?

Thank you very much in advance,

dechardin

Re: PLAYBOOK WILL NOT ALLOW CONNECTION TO BRIDGE

Please forgive me, my message yesterday in this forum is not clear.
I forgot to mention the fact that I was not given the proper start-up information.
My impression was that my BB cell phone would download the program called Blackberry Bridge, and that my cell phone will use it to connect to the Playbook.
The sales clerk where I purchased the Playbook did not give me all the information that was needed.

I called the BB Tech support and, the agent informed me that I must first of all, use a Wi-Fi connection on the Playbook to download an upgrade for the Playbook.
Then, from the Playbook, it is possible to install Blackberry Bridge.
Silly me,
