You've missed the last sentence in my story
, the PB is working again. I'm just baffled by the fact that it looked like a brick for hours which made me want to send it back for repair.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions ![]()

The long, normal charge worked, the deep charge literally put it to sleep, probably from a energy/carbs overload ![]()

Sorry but it does not work for me:
Playbook flashes 4 times, red flash than 4 red flashes
Any ideas?

Sorry but still no results:
I charged the playbook for many hours and tried to re start while pushing the power button and the 2 volume up and volume down buttons but the playbook only blinks 1 red than 4 times red that's all.

Keep charging. The blinking LED is good. You only need to press the POWER button ONLY for 20 seconds.

So I am a bit confused at this point, but I've done the stack charging, the repair via the Desktop etc. and still no joy after 24 hours of charging. The Playbook displays a red LED, no LED but a no battery icon, a solid green LED, no LED but a no battery icon, then an attempt to boot which sits for a minute or so at the "Playbook" screen then powers off. The "repair" via the Desktop (both PC and Mac versions) downloads and appears to install but hangs on the "attempting to reconnect". The status window shows the Playbook disconnecting and no attempt to reconnect.
Ths Playbook was allowed to discharge to a flat state and all attempts to recharge have been unsuccessful. We have two others of the same vintage (Xmas 2012 purchase and up-to-date OS), both of which have been flat and recovered no problem. Blackberry is putting me thru the support script hoops before I can send this thing back. Am I missing something to try and bring this back to life? It really shouldn't be this hard to re-charge one of these things.
Thanks

Keep charging, more than 24 hours. Every few hours, with the charge connection still in place, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
