I am not interested really whether it's hardware or software. This is the second time I updated and the camera has stopped working. Last time RIM fixed it at no cost. This time the PB is 18 months older so I'll give it a try but don't hold out much hope. While I love the idea of the BB experience other options are looking mighty attractive now. I wish RIM would get on the case and start behaving like serious players again.
Yes that was November 2012. As the repair is under 12 months old you may be lucky. That's the first person to have two different playbook camerass get broken by an update, unless it's the same Playbook with a new camera which is even more interesting. As for being serious players I doubt the new consortium will contiue with 9 or more phone models and several new phablets in development. More like sell off the patents and other assets. We will see.

I reported 2 Playbooks with camera problems after 1753. So the question might be how many people have got around to testing their cameras after this update.

From my neck of the woods I'm pleased to report two PlayBooks with fully functional cameras after the latest update.

I can also report 2 PlayBook with fully functioning cameras, and I was doing the upgrade when I posted the information about this upgrade :-)

My camera and video are not working after the upgrade. Also can't delete or add anything to Contacts. Just get a message that Contacts app has been interrupted and to close the app and try again.
Now I. Need to check out if anything else is broken.
Anyone else have a problem with the Contact app?
