Re: PlayBook Turn on but won't charge

ok this is awkward but at least i think know what my problem is...

i did what you said... stuck at 0%. then i tried charge it without conecting the battery.. i got red led -> battery icon with bolt then yellow led....

last thing i did is disconnect battery, connect charger , connect battery. im leaving it overnight.

if this doesnt work, is there a way i can gibe playbook´s battery some charge? i mean the battery does not have just a red-black cables, it has at least 14 pins.

Re: PlayBook Turn on but won't charge

If yours is all brown like the pic then it's tricky. If it has exposed metal near the screws yiu can probe around with a voltmeter like knottyrope's post some time ago. Mlst people just remove and replace the strap and it goes.

Your previous post when you got it to power up, had you taken the back off at that time? If so had you pressed the battey strap at all? I am just wondering if poor contact pressure is a factor.

Poor contact is not the problem here, I'm pretty sure of that.

it seems like the only solution here is buy another tablet... This sucks :/

I'm guessing he didn't intend that. Some people are just ungracious. Sad.

Re: PlayBook Turn on but won't charge

I domt have thatvstyle board on any of mine. You would have to measure the contact points to find which are the battery voltage to be able to jump start it. Be care ful when testing as a short will not be good to deal with and could cause explosion of battery.
