Hello All,
I have been using PlayBook past 8 months and havent faced any issues.
But lately I upgraded my OS to OS version2.
Since then I noticed that if I connect my PlayBook to my Charger or the USB, it pops out with the Charging Symbol, but it never charges it up.
Currently, I can access PlayBook, till the time it is connected to the Charger or USB.
Its a strange problem.
Kindly HELP!
Your suggestions will be deeply appreciated.!
Thanks!

Have you restarted the PlayBook? Touch the battery icon > restart.
Can you connect to the USB cable and is the PlayBook recognized by the BlackBerry Desktop Software?
If it remains not charging, call your warranty support and see about getting the rapid charger which connects to a different port.

Hello Sanders!
Thanks for your prompt response.
I have restarted PlayBook ample amount of time, but nothing works.
Yes, even when I connect it to USB cable, it detects it through BalckBerry Desktop Manager as it use to do previously.
Intrestingly, there is no issue in my charger as well as USB Cable, cos they both working well for my Curve 8520 and neither my Playbook port is having any problem as it detects charger and USB very well.
This problem started after OS upgrade.
Now any suggestions??

OK, you've been around the forum here quite a while, you know that unless you state all the details, what you've previously done, no one here can read your mind. Right? So, doing a proper restart is always the first suggestion.
If you are NOT able to charge all since the OS2 upgrade, how is the device still working? You still have a battery charge after all this time?
Can you try connecting to your charger and THEN while still connected to your charger, do the very same Playbook restart?

Obviously I know the basic of restarting the device which I did.
And regarding using the PlayBook after the OS2 upgrade, then I already had almost full battery while doing the upgrade and after that I didnt used much few times in a week..
But last week, once it got drained I plugged in my charger, so it just popped up with the charging symbol on homescreen, I kept that for charging for 2 days, but it is still displaying Battery Red icon even after that.
Yes I tried restarting my device keeping my PlayBook in the charging mode.
Now what has to be done?

Again, I don't ever assume anyone has done the basics. Believe me, I've seen too many times from even high level users who say,.. "oh, let me try that". If I need help myself, I appreciate someone reminding me of all the basic troubleshooting.
Read this:
Article ID: KB26808 The BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is unable to charge when powered off
The BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet requires software control in order to charge. This means the BlackBerry PlayBook must be powered on in order for the battery level to increase.
Note: If the battery level is critically low, the BlackBerry PlayBook may remain on the boot screen until sufficient charge has been reached to fully boot the BlackBerry PlayBook.

I totally agree for those high level users doing such stupidities.
But fortunately, I am not the one.
And regarding the article which you have forwarded, it talks about version 1 and not for OS2.
Have tried every possible way too Boot but no luck still.
What do you say, should I return it over or show it to BlackBerry Service Centre for a replacement, as it is still under warranty period?

Sorry you don't agree. I welcome all advice, regardless of what I think my knowledge level might be.
And, again, I don't know what you had previously don't IF you don't say such.
But that ^^ is not the big issue here, is it. ![]()

So, questions on which I am not clear, after you have read the above...
Are you charging using the provided the PlayBook charger to a wall outlet?
Have you let it charge for 12+ solid hours AND then performed the restart as stated above (press the power button for about 20 seconds)?
