PlayBook wont upgrade from 1.0.8.6067 to 2.0.0.7971

My 16GB PlayBook wont upgrade. I have tried OTA 4 times. Each time, the file downloads successfully, then it installs successfully prompting me to restart. I restart, get the BB PB logo for about 3-5 mins, it goes back to black screen, i get the BB PB log ofr 3-5 mins, it goes black a third time this time it loads back up compeltely, but it is back to version 1.0.8!!

Then i tried to use DM, it downloads and install successfully, says to remove USB to continue, i remove it, the PB reboots, same process as above 3 times and is back in V1.0.8.

I do not want to do a security wipe and try because i dont want to lose the same game data i have. Doing a backup on DM wont save those files i believe?

Please any help!? i need 2.0 for work!

Have you tried holding the power buttons both volume buttons down for 15 seconds. Wait A minute, press the power button only until the red light comes on. It should start. Try it and let me know.

How many GB of data do you have on your PB. OS2 is 4.05 GB in size. Do you have sufficient room for the installation?

Re: PlayBook wont upgrade from 1.0.8.6067 to 2.0.0.7971

It does,

Depending on your version your running, holding just the power, the power + Volume up buttons, or the power + volume up + volume down will make it do a force shutdown, which then you can hit power and turn it back on.

But dont worry i tried it and still after update it reloads in 1.0.8
