The Bridge connected fine to my blackberry and all bridge apps are working well EXCEPT bridge browse. With bridge browse i get the window launch and then:
a network error occurred
please try again later
No more information given by the browser. I would like to know if this is a bug or if it is possible that the playbook cant bridge with internet to my 9700 as if it is the later I will need to return the unit.

For what it's worth i haven't had much luck with Bridge Browser either. It kind of works on my Torch, but is really slow and sometimes seems like it has stalled but then suddenly a page will load. For the most part it seems all but totally useless at this stage, at least on Rogers 3G anyway. Still need to play with it a bit more though... I was getting a similar error to yours when using the standard browser app without WiFi enabled, but not Bridge.

My Wifi browser is working great. I have seen a lot of reports of people complaining about the bridge browser loading partial pages or loading 3 out of 5 requests. Mine loads 0 out of All requests. Immediately gives the network error. I am on Telus but connected to a BES. Is it possible the BES is blocking this> I can browse freely on my actual blackberry.
I think I will keep monitoring until thursday maybe friday and if i don't see something that makes me think this will ever be fixed I'll have to return it to Best Buy.

Hmm, not sure... Sorry to hear you are having issues, but there are a few bugs RIM needs to clearly sort out. Although they haven't really been hyping the Bridge Browser, and perhaps this is why. I don't doubt there will be another OS release in the very near future.
I would say i probably get maybe 1 out of every 5 requests, but Google loads everytime.
Best Buy gives you 15 days I believe (not sure if there consider the PlayBook a computer or not), if not 30 so might be worth hanging in for another week and see what updates get pushed.

i was able to use bridge for internet but it was sluggish. i can accept this as i am almost always around wifi. i hope an update come soon to make it faster.

The big issue with it is going to be speed. Bluetooth is going to be the bottleneck, but hopefully they can find a way to increase the speed. It would be great if they could develop it to use a WiFi link between your BB and the PB, it would eliminate the bottleneck.
I would just be happy to have it load a page properly!

I'm getting the following error every POST request (e.g. Form submissions).
"The requested URL could not be retrieved"
The CRAZY thing is, is that it only happens on the Bridge Browser and not the Native Browser.
Ugh! Please fix this as soon as possible RIM.
