Playbook Bridge IDLE on Torch 9850

Every time I have used the bridge remote control on my Torch 9850, after 2 to 5 seconds the connection goes IDLE. It doesn't matter if I am moving the cursor or not. I have deleted the app on my phone, deleted the connections on both Playbook and Torch, reinstalled and reconnected, and no success has been achieved. It still goes idle between 2 to 5 seconds.

Thank you!

Re: Playbook Bridge IDLE on Torch 9850

Hi jnieto09,

Does this happen while you are using it? For example, you are currently moving the cursor and then it stops?

What version of BlackBerry PlayBook software do you currently have installed?

Thanks.

Re: Playbook Bridge IDLE on Torch 9850

Hello!

Indeed, this happens while using it, not even while not moving the cursor. Even during typing from the handheld. Playbook software 2.1.0.1526. Now, I found somewhere on the internet that disabling the A/V Remote Control Target from the Bluetooth option on networks and connections would fix the problem. After doing so, I was able to switch in and out of idle flawlessly on my torch. So, for lack of other solution, I would go with "fix" doing this trick.

Thank you!

Re: Playbook Bridge IDLE on Torch 9850

That was going to be my next question. Is your BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook connected to anything else via Bluetooth at the time?

Thanks!

Nope, nothing else connected to the phone at that moment...
