Maybe I was aggressive. Your post was welcome. However posting a simple reset as a cure for your 4003 might mislead people coming across these threads into thinking it will cure theirs too.  9/10 it will not.  The more cynical mat think you were poo-pooing the hardware fault theory. As Blackberry give no help whatsoever ob 4003 we have only anecdotal evidence, 90% leaning towards hardware failure.

 

All hardware related problems with Playbook should be approached the same way.

1. Try a reset/reboot/restart, whatever you want to call it.

2. Try a backup then Security wipe.

3. Finally if no luck try a forces OS reload aka Debrick.

 

If none of these work then its a trip to the repair shop or a call to the warranty provider.

 

If you had included all these steps it woud have been complete.
