Hi there,

  So a week or two ago I was having trouble connecting my Torch 9860 to my PC to sync some music, to see if it was my phone or my comp I pluged in my playbook and i think it reinstalled the device manager. phone is able to sync now but playbook no. The DM reconizes it but it says my OS version is 0.0.0 and that i need to update to 2.0.1 bundle 358 but the sofware on the tablet is 2.0.1 bundle 358. I have tried to reinstall the device manager but it didnt help.

Have you let desktop manager update the playbook? I bad this happen and once desktop manager updated the playbook it reported the correct OS level

I tried that, the update wouldnt go through

What kind of error do you get when you try and update it through the DM?

Try this
 
Disconnect the PB from the computer.
Uninstall the Device Manager.
Reboot your computer (for good measure)
Connect the PB using the USB cable.
Now you should see a PlayBook CD-ROM.
In that CD-ROM you will find version 7 of the Device Manager, install it.
Once installed disconnect the PB from the computer.
Wait for about 15 seconds then plug it back in.
Windows should detect new device and start Device Manager. It may take up to two minutes for windows to detect and properly install.
Then device manager will map 'z' drive to the PB.
 
Minor update - I spent some time in Windows Device Manager, and as per KB29957

Like I said I tried that, I even tried doing it off of the Blackberry website with no success

Is there another drive mapped to "z"drive?
If so remap that drive.

The only drives that show up are my CD-ROM (D) and my hard drive (C) my playbook is not registered as a drive when pluged in. The Desktop Manager sees it but can't do anything to it.
