I was able to set up my Gmail account for email, calender and contact sync, all worked fine. But I am constantly prompted to enter my password. Usually every couple of minutes. Not sure what to do.

I have exactly the same problem. And the password often doesn't "take", and I get prompted again.

I had the same problem - then I turned off Two Step Verification.

Now it works without problem.  Maybe not the ideal solution, but it got me up and running..

Some suggestions:

1. try via Wifi, not via Bridge.
2. in Gmail (desktop)
   • reset your password. An old or weak password is treated with suspicion by Google.
   • go to Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP, make sure IMAP is enabled.
   • go to Settings > Labels, make sure all System labels are shown and shown in IMAP.
   • go to Settings > Account and Import > Other google account settings and disabe 2-step verification
3. from the PB browser, go to https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha, type your e-mail and password and tap Unlock
4. in PB Messages app, remove and re-add the Gmail account

For 2-step verification, add PB as another application and use the new generated password. Also, I turned OFF 'Push' and it seems to work better now. I think the problem is that the Message app tries to connect to Gmail every 5 seconds under push mode.

Thanks for the suggestion! The issue seems to be resolved now.

All I did was turn off 'Push' under the advanced settings of the Accounts tab and so far (after about 2 hours of use) I have not had to sign in again. (I did not make any changes to the 2-step verification because I didn't understand what that was or where to make the change. But it looks like I don't have to do anything else other than turn off the Push setting.)

Just for the record I only have Gmail set up as an account.

So far, I am liking OS2 - vast improvement over the original OS. But hoping that Netflix submits an app - would like to be able to access my Netflix account to view movies on my PB.

I haven't touched the push settings but by changing my Gmail pwd and deleting and reestablishing the account on the PlayBook the problem seems to be solved.

Same here: renewing Gmail password and re-creation of the account on PB solved the issue.

Do you find "push" on the PlayBook or on my laptop? Changing my password and re-creating the account worked for about 5 minutes
