I have a Playbook that is out of Warranty, more than a year old. Didn't use it for a month or so, now when I noticed, it seems lke the Playbook has a battery leak. And it doesn't charge anymore...
What are my options now?
Can this be repaired?
Attaching pictures for refrence..
Thanks for any help!

You know, I'd call BlackBerry technical support and tell them exactly what happened and send them pictures too. Tell them you are out of warranty also and ask them if they issued any battery recalls for faulty batteries in the PlayBook because this isn't the first burst battery I've seen or read about. See what they say. Ask them what your options are.
If they say, it will cost you to fix it, then I wouldn't bother - new ones are $149 these days (32 GB), with warranty. If battery fluids are leaking out then they are all over the inside too. The battery is quite large and I would doubt the electronics inside are salvageable. Chances are your data is gone too unless you've done backups. The good thing is that your BB ID can still be used on a new machine and your apps downloaded once more to a replacement.
