Playbook charging problems

If you turn your Playbook off using the "Power Off" icon in the All icon section, and plug in your charger to charge the Playbook, should there be any led lights lit up on the Playbook to show that it's charging?    No lights were showing on my playbook, so I turned on the Playbook while it was still connected to the charger, and the lightning bolt symbol was over the battery symbol to indicate that it was charging, so I turned the device off again, and when I came back 90 minutes later an thurned the Playbook back on, it had only charged 10%.

Do you need to leave the Playbook in standby mode to charge?

Re: Playbook charging problems

Yes, the PB will not charge if "off" according to the user guide and from it seems many users' experiences. This does not make much sense to me...

Re: Playbook charging problems

This really does seem counter intuitive.

Re: Playbook charging problems

mine won't charge no matter what I do.  It's been plugged in and in standby mode for over 12 hours and went from 25% to 6%.  Any suggestions?
