Well here i go again. After the debacle with the last update that was withdrawn, I managed to "downgrade" and get my Playbook to stop switching itself off randomly.

So i stupidly upgraded to the latest version and it does it again!! but now with a new twist.... it now wont turn on. It boots up, and gets to the blue/purple screen sometimes green and then just shuts off again. This happend after i shut it down properly after fully recharging the battery

i have connected to Mac and repaired software and its the same

Any ideas anyone?

I know you stated the battery was full but the indications are that the battery is dead. Connect the charger, leave it for a few hours. Then hold down the power button and both volume buttons at the same time until the red LED flashes, release the buttons and allow it 3 or 4 minutes to reboot.

You only need to press and hold the power key if your Playbook is on OS 1.08 or greater. Do this while connected to the charger after a few hours and try and try again.
