I'm having these problems... and nothings working. Thought about going with RIM as I went to University in Waterloo but rethinking my loyalty now. Wife's on her way to see about returning it... with the apps and books I've already paid for. Any news on a fix yet?

Hi, I returned mine to Best Buy and the new one I have is charging. I have not let it completely drain yet.
My first one was completely 'dead', no lights would come on at all;
- I tried holding down the power button + volume buttons for a hard restart but nothing happened
- I was charging with the charger connected directly to the wall (i.e. not through an extension cord)
- I went to Best Buy and tried their rapid charger
Nothing worked so finally exchanged it for a new one.
Hope you can get it to work.

You guys rock my socks. That totally worked. I JUST got the Playbook last night and it worked for 2hrs, then it worked at work this morning but by lunch time it seemed to not turn on. I was freaking out especially after trying to charge it tonight and not seeing the light turn on. Anyway, it's working now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
